The Least Reliable Ram Models
Some models just can't seem to get out of their own way. We've created a list of the least reliable Ram models using data such as complaint volume, average cost of repairs, age of the car when it breaks down, and recall frequency. Here's the worst of the bunch.

The air suspension in the 4th and 5th generation Ram 1500 doesn't work in cold weather and that's a pretty big problem if you live in Canada where checks notes it gets cold.
Someof the 2014-2019 ProMaster's gear shift cables were kinked during installation, increasing the chance they'll seperate from the transmission at some point.
Fiat-Chrysler (FCA) wants to buy back a small number of Ram 1500 trucks. Any 2019 model with a 12-inch touchscreen and base-level heating will be unable to defrost or defog the windshield. Apparently the easiest solution is to just buy the 15 affected trucks back from owners.
More than 228,000 Ram trucks might suddenly roll away, even when the key isn’t in the ignition. The problem is caused by pins in the brake transmission shift interlock (BTSI) that stick open in higher temperatures. Fiat-Chrysler is expanding a previous recall of 1.8 million vehicles to include trucks with column shifters that were built between 01/01/2017 and 01/10/2018.
Fiat-Chrysler (FCA) is recalling certain 2013-2017 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks because their steering linkages may separate over time. This drag link separation will likely cause a complete loss of steering control which is … not ideal. FCA hasn’t said when the recall will begin but they better hurry up as the problem is already responsible for 8 accidents.

Have a complaint about your vehicle?
The best way to find out what's wrong with a vehicle is from the people who drive them. Not only do owner complaints help us rank vehicles by reliability, but they're often used to spark class-action lawsuits and warranty extensions. Plus, they're a great way to vent.
