Some 2016 Ram 1500's have a dangerous defect in the left front halfshaft and the right front halfshaft. I'm not very good at math, but it sounds like you could end up with zero front halfshafts if you're not careful.

The recalled trucks were built between February 19, 2016 and March 3, 2016, and all will need both front halfshafts replaced.

"A fractured halfshaft can disconnect from the drive axle and cause all kinds of mayhem on the road, including by leaving parts of the SUV on the roads for other drivers to deal with."

There's no word on when the recall will begin.
